JOB OFFER - Restaurant Manager - Kinshasa
We are looking for an M/F Restaurant Manager for a high-end Asian restaurant that will open very soon in Kinshasa. You will provide a high quality menu and motivate staff to provide excellent customer service.
The Restaurant Manager M/F is in particular in charge of maintaining the restaurant's revenue, profitability and quality objectives. You will ensure the efficient operation of the restaurant, and will ensure that high standards of production, productivity, quality and customer service are observed. To be successful in this role, you will need management skills and experience in the dining room and kitchens. You need to know how to supervise the room, welcome customers and balance the number of covers. Kitchen management experience is also essential, as you will need to set schedules, oversee meal preparation and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations. We expect you to lead by example and motivate staff. Finally, you will ensure that our restaurant runs smoothly and that our customers have a pleasant experience.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate daily operations between the kitchen and the dining room
- Provide superior service and maximize customer satisfaction
- Respond effectively and appropriately to customer complaints
- Regularly assess product quality and seek new suppliers
- Organize and supervise services
- Evaluate staff work and provide feedback to improve productivity
- Estimate future needs for goods, kitchen utensils and cleaning products
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
- Manage the good image of the restaurant and advise on materials to improve it
- Control operating costs and identify measures to reduce waste
- Create detailed reports on weekly, monthly and annual income and expenses
- Train new and current employees on good customer service practices
- Put in place policies and protocols that will serve the future operations of the restaurant
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a management role
- Diploma in restaurant management or equivalent experience
- Computer skills
- Written and oral proficiency in French and English
- Excellent customer service skills
- Rigor and professionalism
- Excellent priority management (planning and organization of work)
